Message of hope for the newly floxed. I’m 16 months out and ready to say 100% ok now.
After 4 500mg Levaquin pills, I woke up with terrible hip pain, which transformed into not being able to walk at all within a few days. Before that occurred, I made a trip to the grocery store for magnesium, and was immediately overcome by the fluorescent lights and had a fog come over my vision which lasted for 9 months. My wife set up a bed downstairs for me so I wouldn’t have to try to walk up the stairs, and I’ve slept there ever since.
2 months into it my fog lifted briefly and I thought I was out of the woods, only to then slip into complete, total, debilitating brain fog – unable to work, remember names, drive a car, pick my 2 year old out of a crowd of moving kids. I had weird bursts of crying, I had pain in every joint in my body, the skin of my fingers sagged as if I’d been in water for hours, my feet got cold and remained that way, I couldn’t feel my toes. Every day something new seemed to pop up.
After 16 months, it’s all gone. I read everything, and I mean everything, that had ever been posted in this group when I was newly floxed and tried to adapt it to my own situation. I despaired a lot and worried that I’d never be able to play with my son again – but time and supplements did the trick. I learned more than I ever wanted about all the terminology, the supplements, my DNA, etc. I spent a lot of money on doctors and supplements, some wisely, some stupidly.
If you’re new to this, there is hope. You got this. Do not despair. There is so much wisdom and knowledge in this group. And for those longtime sufferers, my thoughts are with you – I hope it improves.

Hi Brett, Thank you for sharing your story and amazing to hear of your full recovery!!! It gives me hope. Your story sounds very similar to mine down to the brain fog and having young children. I’m 6 months in and currently in very poor condition. Could you please email me at HealingDaily486@gmail.com I want to ask you more about your recovery.
Glad to hear you recovered. Gives us the hope that we need. Can you post what helped your tendons/joints recover?
Hey Brett,
Its really really nice to hear that you recovered to 100 %, that gives me a lot of hope i am in month 7 and also took 3 Pills of levo 500 mg back in march…… . And i just read a really bad story about another Levo-floxie who is suffering from it for almost 3 years now and it just getting worst and worst by him and like 20 minutes later i just saw your story here and that gives me hope again….. .
it would be great if you could take the time and write a few more words about, what you exactly did to get to 100%.
Like did you change ur diet ( Low carb, Keto ) ? what kind of supps did you take and what kind of test did you do ? Any IV-Treatmeants like myers cocktail, ozon therapy and so on…., i know everybody body reacts differently but it would be nice to see if there is a something that the most people have in comment that recovered to 100 %
And did you get any gut-problems after flox ? Like yellow stool and foodleftovers and so on.
Would it really appreciate when you take the time to write a few more sentence about everything.
Ps :
One thing I noticed with all of them is that the 100% people always needed between 12-15 months to get rid of everything.
And then it was always the case that the first 6 months would have new symptoms and from 6-7 months on, it would slowly but steadily get better with small setbacks but no new symptoms.
Was it the same for you?
And again would really appreciate it when u take the time to answer some of the questions, every information is a good information :).
You can even write me on Facebook if u want, would really APPRECIATE IT :

Thanks for sharing. Remember everyone has a thresh tolerance to these antibiotics. Mine was the first 7 days or 14 tablets of cipro before the bomb went off. I had to take 60 tablets in total. With only taking several tablets more than likely you will have a complete recovery!
