Ben posted this update on one of the fluoroquinolone toxicity facebook groups:

Hello everyone. Today was my 1 year anniversary from Cipro 2×7. I still have a few stamina issues and occasional flare up of mild pain. However, I live a happy life again. I am walking 3-6 miles a day and working full time. I ate an organic low carb diet and took a few supplements. Acetyl-L-Carnitine, Organic multi vitamin, organic whey protein, and digestive enzymes, were the most helpful. Early on I had insomnia and used melatonin and valerian tea to get small amounts of sleep. I am now sleeping normally. In addition I have a medical marijuana card, marijuana was and is extremely beneficial to my comfort, stress, and pain levels. You can all heal, I though it would keep getting worse and so far life has gotten better and better. Keep fighting and keep living the best life you possibly can. Thank you for your ongoing support. Thank you especially for the heavy support in the early months.

He then added:

Acetyl-L-Carnitine helped and still helps with mild to moderate neuropathy as well as increasing energy levels and in the beginning when I had brain fog it helped with that too. I’ll take it for life, its a great anti oxidant for the brain. I use Jorrow or Now for ALC. The digestive enzymes were the only thing that has improved my digestive system and helped me get back to normal. 10 different types of Probiotics with different strains didn’t seem to help me much and in some cases made me feel awful. For some they do work though. I use Now Super Enzymes. The organic liquid multi-vitamin I use is sold at wholefoods and online “Organic Life Vitamins”. Not sure how much this helped me, but it doesn’t hurt and has a ton of food source vitamins in it. Happy healing.
