Diana’s Recovery Story – Epstein Barr Connection

DianaFH

*The following is an individual’s story of surviving fluoroquinolone toxicity. It is not medical advice. Please see the disclaimer at the bottom of the story. Thank you, and please be cautious with all treatments.

I would like to share what has worked for me after being floxed. Research is showing most who have been floxed have latent Epstein-barr virus when tested. Or the shingles virus. This connection has been identified by many researchers and can be googled to confirm. I have some links on my Advocates4Health page that you can look through. Even the best oncologists and health.gov link it to MS, lupus, lyme, chronic fatique, fibromyalgia, lymphomas and leukemia.

It seems the antibiotics triggers the epstein-barr virus that has moved from the bloodstream into the body’s organs. For example, diabetes virus in kidney, Hasimotios and other thyroid issues, virus in thyroid. Central nervous system disorders…virus in CNS. The connection has been made.

To heal is to not only address the Fluoroquinolone toxicity but also the virus. I have found that Rhus Tox 30c can address the plantar fasciatis issues but the best product I have found to help overall is Newtons Homeopathic Exhaustion, chronic fatique and epstein barr formula. It’s ingredients address every system and organ and kills off the virus. Also, l-lysine 4000 units a day helps kills virus and calms down nerves. Vimergy Chaga extract powder kills bacteria, viruses and fungus and strengthens immune system. Eidons Immune support helps build the immune system. B12, D3, vitamin C and magnesium are a must to support body.

Wild blueberries are best antioxidants and Hawaiian Spirulina …well is a superfood that helps on all levels. These are the formulas that completely turned my health around in a little over 2 months. I have studied nutrition my whole life and started a facebook page called Advocates4Health. It has all this information and more. These symptoms can all be turned around in less than a year and for many in a lot shorter period of time if eating clean, organic foods. Corn, dairy, wheat, soy, canola oil are all triggers and should be avoided when healing if possible. Also, less meat and then only free range antibiotic free. Fish is highly contaminated with high levels of mercury, so are many fish oils so it’s important to buy really good brands. Cilantro can help detox from heavy metals so include daily if possible. I believe that we all can heal. It’s just knowing what to do that heals us.

This does not have to be a life sentence of chronic debilitating health issues. I have been there and know the struggle. Knowing the connection of the antibiotics triggering epstein-barr and the shingles virus is key to understanding how to heal.

As my oncologist said when I was going through treatment for leukemia…we know the connection to Epstein-barr we just don’t have the tests available to find it in the organs that are affected! Finding the connection to Epstein-barr has been a game changer for me. I have been floxed 3 times…once for 2 years…once for four years. Developing fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, allergies, sinus infections, uti’s and finally leukemia…all after being floxed. This last time I was floxed for a 3rd time was because of my treatment plan for leukemia. However, it only took 4 months to heal from the plantar fasciatis and chronic fatigue because of finding this connection and the products that addresses the underlying problem. So I am passionate about sharing what I have learned and what has worked for me. You can heal and get your life back its just connecting all the dots.

Very interesting. I received many conflicting statements from different doctors… You have reactivated EBV/HV-6, and then No you do not have reactivated…

In deed, very interesting. I got also floxed and had EBV ealier with some persistent problems. It would be interesting, if many Floxys have EBV or another virus!

My antibody tests showed exposure to EBV and also the anti nuclear antibodies were positive. I also have thyroid issues.

A lot of what she is recommending are in line with Anthony William (Medical Medium) protocol for EBV. My doctor recommends some of these things too.

I take Low Dose Naltrexone for the host of conditions like Epstein-Barr, I.C., chronic shingles, etc. Most of my conditions are in remission or near-remission. Google “LDN” for more information.

Hi Diana,I would really appreciate it if you could let me know how your getting along with the LDN, because I was considering using for my remaining symptoms. I’m really interested in exactly how the LDN is helping and/or if it’s still helping you?

Thank you for your story, and I hope you’re still doing good 🙂

Thanks for sharing your story. It gives people like me hope. I had fibromyalgia for nine years and chronic migraines for 10 years before getting floxed in July 2016. I had tendinosis and tears in multiple body areas within two weeks of taking Levaquin ( confirmed by MRI ). ). About a year later, in July 2017, I began to be so exhausted that I couldn’t keep my eyes open and needed to sleep about 20 hours A day. I was like this for 3 to 4 weeks before having my blood work completed last week. It came back extremely high for the 2 A team bar values, and also showed that I had had a past exposure . I am really nervous at this point about recovery and am keenly aware of the fact that EBV can lead to MS and certain cancers. I am a widow with a young son, so I need to be able to function. It’s hard to believe all of this is even happening to me. I am going to look into some of the product you recommended in your story. So thank you, And congratulations on reclaiming your health. What a blessing ! 💕

It’s an interesting theory. It would explain more the Herxheimer reaction. It is almost as though the particular strength of the antibiotic and the tissues it accesses helps spread the virus or create some autoimmune problem or hypersensitivity. I read that an antiviral (Acyclovir) is used to clear some viruses. It is worth looking into with your doctor. Perhaps it was a virus and it was misdiagnosed as bacteria and then wasn’t treated and became dormant and then re-emerges and creates symptoms. I will look at your Facebook page, thank you for posting it.

      Hi Jodi,
I am wondering if there has been any update to your EBV recovery. Thanks!

Hi, glad you are well! Did you get EB blood test done? I don’t really have any symptoms left except for a relapse pain in my feet due to playing tennis, and ringing in the ears hedging back (colostrum fixed it before). Trying to figure out if I should get tested. Is there a lab I can directly order from?
I’m 4 years out from levaquin.

Remembered this lab. They test for EBV —https://www.directlabs.com/mobile/TestDetail.aspx?testid=402

I also took cipro about 2 weeks ago and feel scared too. I am having high anxiety and depression. I’ve been trying to take the good out of the posts and applying them. How are you doing?

I took Levaquin (3 pills) for pneumonia in August, 2016 and with the third pill started experiencing quivering legs, mainly around the knee area. My symptoms/flares have been mild compared to most but the tendon issue/serious collagen loss/blurry eye/hip pain have been the bulk of my issues until now. This current flare has been different with a lot of fatigue for several weeks. My new NP just ordered a large batch of labs for a baseline and EBV was found to be high. I had mono 50 years ago! I just recently found the FB group and Floxie Hope. Thank you for sharing your story. It helps a lot. I will follow your other info as well.

I had a horrible eye reaction to one Cipro pill. Tightness/pain behind the eye, severe light sensitivity, blurred vision, resulting in ER visit. Thankfully, the vision returned and pain let up, but a terrible swelling has remained in the under eye muscle. Ophthalmologist confirmed the optical nerve and eye itself is very healthy, so the issue is occurring in the sinus cavity, eye muscles or tendons. I am afraid muscle can turn fibrous if left inflamed for too long, so I am tempted to try steroids. I also developed my first sinus infection after being floxed, but worth noting the swelling was there before the sinus infection. My guess is the sinuses were weakened by the Cipro. Has anyone here developed swelling in the orbital area? (likely sinus or immune related) Has anyone tried steroids after being floxed?

Most of the population has been exposed to EBV at some point in their lives. I also had mine tested and it shows I had it in the past but not currently.

    Dear Diana,
I took Cipro 2.5 months ago and was hit after a couple days with debilitating fatigue. It took doctors more than a month to tell me I was fine, until I saw a functional medicine doctor who tested me for EBV. It was positive for reactivation/current infection. I am now on a protocol to treat the EBV and boost my immune system to try and get it all back under control. I was doing much better a few weeks ago until I over did it on a trip for work and was exhausted ended up in the ER with heart palpitations/flutters. All testing came back normal so far and I was ok for a week but then strange palpitations and flutters started happening again not as intense but more frequently. Did you or anyone you know have heart issues after Cipro/EBV reactivation. Most symptoms have been tolerable, but this heart stuff has me freaked out.
I am encouraged by your story and that gaining control over the EBV is possible, I am hopeful that time will be good to me and I will heal completely.

Hi can I ask what you are doing for the EBV and what symptoms it was causing, the heart flutters only? Thanks!

      • waysailoveland April 15, 2019 at 4:23 am Reply

        Hi Sarah,
No the heart flutters are only recent within the last two weeks. Initially I had multiple symptoms including lower extremity neuropathy, crippling fatigue, muscle and joint pain, back pain (I think kidney related), anxiety, bouts of crying and others. It seems as if the symptoms woudl come and go and cycle over the last two and half months some have waxed and waned and others have almost gone away. What has never ceased is the fatigue. I am a full time working mom of two small children in my mid forties and I went from working and taking care of my family everyday to being out of work for 4 weeks and not being able to do anything around the house. Slowly the fatigue was getting better until a couple weeks ago when I way over did it on a work trip and did not get the rest I know that I needed. It was after that the fatigue got worse and the heart flutters started. So now I still have fatigue, heart flutters (new symptom), body vibrations (feels like my body internally is vibrating, not sure how else to describe it), and pain in my legs (joints and muscles). I started to see a functional medicine doctor and recently started taking the following, some of it on a short term basis to detox a few organs and some of it for the virus and to boost my immune system. MetaCrin-DX, BileMin, ClearVite-CLA, Chaparral, Transfer Factor Plasmyc, Lauricidin, C/Lysine Plus, UltraD 5000 (emulcified Vitamin D complex) and I still take extra Magnesium which I have been taking since finding Floxie hope and a daily probiotic. I feel worse and not better at this time due to my recent relapse/set-back but I am hopeful that the supplements will help get me back on track.

sorry for the name change I have a wordpress account and sometimes it defaults and puts a different name.

        • Sarah April 18, 2019 at 7:04 pm

thank you for that list; i wonder why they don’t have you on liposomal vit c with the lysine? I hope this helps you, it so hard to know what to take sometimes. Did they test your thyroid and hormones? Depending on your age, heart flutters comes with that as hormones change, FQ’s seem to mess up all the hormones.
