Yes i agree with you physical therapy, rehab can speed up healing.
Dr mercola recommend K Laser. however K laser is a comittment based type of rehab done in doctor office not those portable /home device we can control. He said infrared lasers around 800 nanometers penetrate far deeper into your body to reach most tissue injuries
after my 12 chiropractor sessions, i can say it didn’t help much. the ultrasound once a week at just 1 min per troubled tendon /a session is heavily under utlized. i’m looking to purchase a ultrasound machine online instead. my chiropractor did neck manipulation (using tapping) didn’t work well for my shoulder/arm pain/numbness..in fact, i found chiropractor made symptoms worst.
i think it’s worth a try. bear in mind there are people who said didn’t work … portable and can zap pain anytime, anywhere. it can’t heal our problem for sure, at least it can help healing process…
anyway, i’m still in for prolotherapy! not now. i set my healing time to dec2014 if nothing works. let’s hope prolotherapy bring a smiley christmas by then not a teary one..
R, i remember you said your dad went prolotherapy and it bought healing. does the doctor need to do any preliminary test before prolotherapy can be done? or did you remember he said what the risks are? i am worried being floxed made our tendons vulnerable to damage if it’s not administered properly..or getting “opposite result” instead of healing. from my understanding, in layman terms, prolo irritated the tendons so it can heal. the idea is “irritation” treatment….but why? haha further research needs to be done! 🙂
can I know what type of clinic/treatment center offer trigger point injection? is it the same clinic that does Prolotherapy? that will help me find the right help in my country. thanks!
yes i tried trigger point massage once and the lady was experienced and friendly (making the whole sessions less tiring..) but i came home aching. that week my acupuncturist told me i shouldn’t try trigger point because she really think it will aggravate our condition. she believe FQ damage need to treat nerve first. since i made her my primary physician, i listen to her and stopped trigger point massage. slowly i heard many people singing praises about trigger point that make me wonder perhaps i judge that massage too early or even my acupuncturist would have made the wrong judgement since FQ is complex itself.
it’s also very normal to feel aching after massage as toxin release from blood stream and that should be a good sign in fact! i would just go there again. keep you posted.
i’m also discovering a new regime. yesterday, i started detoxing with zeolite powder (please don’t buy zeolite in liquid, total crap…) research and user review point that zeolite must be taken in powder to work. i dissolve 2 tablespoon in water..it looks disgusting like some construction cement?! haha i squeak my nose and gulp down quickly. soon later, i felt so tired! i think tiredness is a sign of body working to detox.
our tendon pain can mimic rheumatoid arthritis (RA) or even turn arthritis.
a doctor was asking me to take blood test to look for antibody called rheumatoid factor. However, it is also possible to have the rheumatoid factor in your blood and not have RA.
and nerve damage is also not visible on blood test
R, do you have the RA marker in your blood test?
i think whether we have the real arthritis or just nerve pain, prolotherapy should still be suitable
Do you know what kind of pain you have? Tendon, joint, cartilage, muscle, nerve? I definitely have tendon pain in my ankles, knees I’m not sure – but a doctor said cartilage (not so bad any more anyway), and joint pain in my hands.
Some acupuncturists should also do trigger point. Places that do prolotherapy might also do it. Is you muscle very tender? I told them I didn’t want any injections into tender muscle. I just did quads and calves.
I had no RA markers in my blood test.
It’s good that you can sleep and eat that should help healing. My appetite is off and on (I think it’s getting better though), and my sleep isn’t that great because I keep waking up too early. I tried melatonin once and it seemed to help, so I’ll try it again. Appetite is strong today – hopefully it stays that way.

hi everyone, i’m trying to do research about what is happening with these drugs, as many of us are. would you mind letting me know if you took the brand name of cipro, levaquin, or avelox, or if you took the generic? there is some speculation that the generic is made not exactly according to formula and that the process is different. as many of you know, we cannot really sue the drugmaker if we took the generic, thanks to the us supreme court and its infinite wisdom. if you could simply let me know here or email me at fluoroquinolonestudy@gmail.com. thank you.

Hey everyone!
Im looking to detox my body of flouride, have any of you had success before? Has anyone tried iodine?
Hi Dean,
I am interested in this too, as I live in Ireland where the water supply is fluoridated. Does anyone know of a good filter to remove fluoride (I would need one that can be used without messing with the plumbing, as I live in rented accommodation)
Thanks

Has anyone in this group used oregano oil after being floxed?. I’m thinking of trying it, along with other essential oils, for my Lyme disease, now I can no longer tolerate antibiotics, but am not sure what effect it will have on the floxing.

I was floxed by Cipro 1000 mg dose for 4 days. This happened in November 2013. I had taken the medication many times in the past with no problems. It started with pain in my hands wrist and achillies. This lasted aprox 2 months then seemed to resolve. Then in mid Feb 2014 i came down with a bad cold and all my symtoms came back along with more wide spread joint and tendon pain. I had some very mild muscle twitching and burning here and there but has for the most part resolved and was not a big deal. Is it Weird that my tendonitis and joint pain has cycled back after it has pretty much resolved. Afther this Feb relapse my tendons and joints are still sore but improving slowly. My symtoms are not all that sever as i can excercise and lift moderate wights with out many problems. Its funny the more I excersise and the more sunlight i get the more improvment I see. I was a very fit weight lifter before being floxed. The concerning thing for me is that i recently started seing eye floaters in my right Eye at the 5 month marker (April). So i am guessing that the Cipro is still in my system and causing damage to my collagen cells. I went to see an eye doc and they advised no damage to retina. Do the eye floaters ever resolve ? I think my joints and tendons will make a full recovery it will just take time. At this point would it be beneficial for me to do IVY glutathione and Vit C Therapy to help get the cipro out of my cells. I am currently taking Mag and Vit C and a multi vitamin. I also am doing epson salt baths 3 times a week ?
Also on another note i have read countless stories and researched the web to death. I have found something in common with most floxies they are non smokers. When i previously took this medication 6 years ago i was a smoker and had no side effect at all. I was taking Cipro 1000 mg a day for 10 days on 2 seprate occasions and no side affects at all. I also see in the recovery stories that Ben started smoking and recovered revery quikly. i know this sounds weird but wondering is smoking some how removes cipro from the body the same way it removes vit c from cells and many other nutrients. Does any one know any one who was floxed and is a smoker ? I am wondering if there is a correlation as every one who is floxed seems to be pretty fit and non smokers ?

Hi Lisa or anyone else really,
Has anyone heard of any floxies who had very intense and chronic neuropathies in the legs and feet (burning, buzzing, tingling, twitching, etc), that lasted a long time (more than a year) with no let-up and then had it improve or resolve over time?
Having a hard time finding neuropathy-specific healing stories. I have read your healing stories but for most neuropathy seemed to be short-lasting or maybe not the primary complaint. Nerves are notoriously hard to heal once damaged I know.
Healing hope to everyone.

I want to add one of the things since I’m constantly searching/researching to try and understand what happened why it’s happening the chemical reactions involved etc.… When I was flautist I had just started to bicycle again after a long period where I was very sedentary, go ahead and very active my whole life. I just spent a period of many months where I wasn’t moving around much because I was writing and working on a project, I’m a writer. Then my first or second day doing a long bike ride and getting back on the bike I had an accident and hurt my groin area. I went to the doctor to give me a scan and he instead gave me Levaquin saying I had a bacteria. I protested and said no I need to scan but he assured me there was a bacteria in the epididymis and that I should take the antibiotic and if I was still in pain in a week then we will know “You were right.” We all know how some/most doctors can be cavalier so it was a pretty typical experience I should’ve known better. Anyway the point is, I had injured this right tendon side of my body and I’ve noticed that the problems I’m having with the floor quinolones have greatly impacted my right side much more than my left,. It leads me to consider the possibility that when there is existing damage, and athletes Are constantly damaging tendons joints and muscle and then it rebuilds and heals, we all do this, but athletes to a much greater degree. Because I’ve heard it said on this forum that it seems like athletes are impacted more. So maybe when there is some damage the fluoroquinolone misinterprets this as something it needs to destroy or as bacteria when in fact the cells are simply damaged. Scientific research has made it very clear that the floor quinolones are damaging our mitochondria. It must mistake the mitochondria as bacteria as they are so similar in structure. But it also seems like it’s impacting or targeting cells that are damaged are in the process of rebuilding more so than others. At least for me the area that was impacted in my body is the most damaged by the fluoroquinolones. Would love to hear anyone’s thoughts/experience on this??

yes ill get better . i still getting better everyday . i was going crazy with the pain and panic attacks , check everything . heart , liver . t3 t4 everything fine , is hard . doctors just say is anxiety take paxil. never did , i change my diet , im not 100% but 8 months later i feel 65 % clean ur diet , and try all the supplements little by little and see what works for u . remember not all of us are the same .but believe in god pray he listen . i was in horrible pain and back everyday slow im 36 and walk 2 block to my church in almost 1 hour , just to get on my knees and pray to god , juice red cabbage and green vegetables , im 100% sure this drugs ruin your stomach , and u need to get probiotics , all everything else people talk about here , YOU WILL GET BETTER , NOT EASY AND FAST BUT YOU WILL GET THERE . CHANGE MY LIFE FOR BAD AND GOOD , U WILL APPRECIATE OTHER SIMPLE , FREE , REAL IMPORTANT THINGS IN LIFE , FAMILY , FRIENDS AND LOVE , IS TIME FOR EVERYBODY TO BE AWAKE ,
Hi Jimmy, I’m making a new post so it’ll be more visible. The standard use for creatine or beta alanine would be to help with muscle strength and energy or fatigue issues. Creatine might be also be useful by providing cellular energy which is good for mitochondria. If mitochondria disfunction is causing the tendon damage then creatine supplementation might still be beneficial.
I’ve been throwing some creatine, beta alanine, and bcaas into my protein shakes for a little while now. I wasn’t really fatigued before, but I do seem to have more energy than I have outlets for now.
I mentioned low level laser in a previous post. There are a couple interesting studies involving low level laser and cartilage. Here’s one: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15523898 – chemically induced osteoarthropathy (created by hydrogen peroxide) treated by low level laser. Looks like LLLT/Prolotherapy/PRP is my treatment plan.

I was wondering if anyone else suffers mainly with pain in the quads? I have read so much about ankle, foot, and calf pain. My worst pain seems to be I both my quads- it hurts to walk. Seems to help if I wear compression stockings. Thanks!
How have you been? I searched online for “low level laser therapy”, there isn’t much results instead by twist and turn, I found a clinic that did “Monopolar Radiofrequency”
i called up and talked to a physiotherapist who seems to understand our floxie condition. I shared with him over the phone about the LLLT you recommend but he has stopped offering Cold laser therapy (not sure if Cold laser therapy = LLLT?) this guy feedback cold laser therapy didn’t work well with tendon and feedback is quite poor whereas RF offers faster tissue healing. instead, he recommend Monopolar Radiofrequency where the technology is better and more advanced.
I joked i’m not looking at “pain relief” but healing. he laughed and said of course, all these treatment seeks to speed up tissue healing. he honestly haven’t seen any patient who is floxie like us but have treated patient with fibromyalgia whose roots of pain can be equally created by chemical/pharma cause. like us. there is also true speculation fibro mystery is triggered by FQ use in the past among clueless patients.
each sessions is about 160 SGD (about 140 CAD) that include RF, some simple exercise and consultation with the RF being the main juice. a session is about 1 hour.
