Please help me because I am unable to bear this again. I was floxed in 2005—Unbelievable anxiety and time distortions with no REM sleep for months and months. I had the same exact symptoms in 2010 but with no floxing that I remember and now again after two surgeries and infections but no floxing that I know of, I have lost my mind with uncontrollable anxiety, panic, terror, dread, twitching, vision changes, muscle weakness, insomnia, and the list goes on. It took two years in 2010 to get some better and four years before sleep came back. I can’t do this again. Please help me…the anxiety with time standing still is unbearable and I have songs that play over and over in my head. I have pain in my entire body and the list goes on and on.

I’ve tried all the essential oils that are suppose to help, tried so many different supplements, spent all of my money and have exhausted all of my sick leave where I work. I am in completely unbearable pain mentally and physically.

Anyone have great success with neurological or nervous system symptoms using Magnesium l-threonate, also called Neuro-mag, or Magtein? I’ve tried regular magnesium supplements for years and they all cause me diarrhea. My biggest problem is muscle jerking when trying to transition to sleep. This has been happening since I was flooded nearly 9 years ago. Has destroyed my sleep and screwed up my brain and I have terrible anxiety. I’m nearly constantly in fight or flight mode because my body continually jolts me awake. The pathways to the sleep parts of my brain are clearly malfunctioning and I’ve never been able to find the solution. But I just heard about this special form of magnesium that actually gets into the nervous and brain tissue.

I am currently taking Synthroid and Levothyroxin for my thyroid. I also have been on hydrocortisone (15mg breakfast, 10mg lunch and 5 mg at 3pm) since 2010 because my adrenals weren’t producing any cortisol. My doctor has given up and I requested to see a psychiatrist because I can no longer deal with this. I have so many other things going on with the anxiety.

I appreciate everyone’s help. I am absolutely in torment both physically and mentally and this has taken a toll on my family too. My wife has a tumor on her spinal cord that is benign but has caused serious damage and she doesn’t qualify for a penny of govt. assistance and my insurance disability has run out and I am not capable of functioning much less working. I just don’t know what to do. The anxiety has become terror and I am afraid of being committed rather than going voluntarily and there is no telling what they will do to me if I am committed. I just feel doomed.

What is bad is I live in TN and it is not a medicaid state. That is why I am wondering whether to get help now while I still have health insurance. I need mental help but wondering if any anti-depressants will make me worse because most of them are flourinated and don’t know how my body will react.

One wonders about her motives. Or is she simply deranged? I warned her when she followed me me to a political site I contribute to that the regulars could be “direct” and sure enough she was told in rude terms to go away as the website was not a psychiatric institution. Her posts to me there and on Frank Lipman’s site kept implying that some sort of official sanctions should be brought against me for spreading “bad advice”. It’s bizarre. But here she has descended into outright abuse recently.

I know some people on here have suffered with vertigo. Well, I came across an article today that talked about an easy treatment that can be done at home. It was created by Dr. Carol Foster who said that the most common form of vertigo “happens when particles in the ear that sense gravity get dislodged and end up in spinning sensors….One morning, in treating herself, she came up with her own spin on how to fix vertigo at home. It’s called the “Half Somersault Maneuver.” Patients put their head upside down like they are going to do a somersault. They wait for dizziness to end then raise their head to back level. They then wait again for dizziness to end and then sit back quickly.” Supposedly that “causes the particles to leave the semicircular canal.” I don’t have this symptom, so I can’t say how well her treatment works, but it may work for someone.
Here’s a link to the article if you want to read the whole thing:
I see many people on here questioning the effectiveness of marijuana when dealing with the side effects of quinolones. For me, marijuana set my recovery back months. I suffered from neurological effects that marijuana only exacerbated. I developed mild action myoclonus after taking Cipro. Every time I would make a sudden movement, my body would make an extra jerk or my muscles would tense up for a brief moment. This subsided after maybe 3 months. After I tried marijuana, it came roaring back along with my anxiety and took another few months to subside again. So for anyone dealing with neurological side effects, I advise you stay far away from marijuana. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise for me. I was a frequent marijuana smoker before Cirpo and always tried to quit cold turkey but could not. After cipro, I have no desire to go near the stuff. Happy holidays to everyone.

When i stand up, my bloodpressure goes crazy, and is extremly high, dangerously high, and so are my heart rate. I Dont even feel the extreme heart rate anymore. I wonder if its autonomic neuropathy? Maybe thats why im even more off balance and dizzie when i try to walk. And the extreme fatigue.
