Has anyone had any abdominal pain? If so how did you cure it or decrease the pain?
Thanks,

hello guys, I’m having a bit of a rough patch to say the least. I seem to be relapsing into new tendon pain and fatigue. My mental is not good. I could use some prayers. I don’t know what else to say.

The other day, I noticed a new bone on the top of my foot. What the hell? How can I grow a new bone!? Turned to the net, read that this is a bone saddle spur which grows in response to hypermobility, which tada! cipro causes. I had pain along the top of my foot for months, but the pain’s disappeared. So…as long as this bone spur does its job (protect the joint), I’m okay with that. But damn, I was still kinda hoping I was secretly a hypochondriac and imagining any of this actually happened. Now I have a visual reminder.

Hi LIsa, just read your article on fungal infections. I took have thought this for a while now. Do you know what people should do that have small fungal infections like candida? Probiotics? Thanks for all you do!

Hello everyone,
I saw this page while doing some research regarding an antibiotic a doctor prescribed me for my respiratory infection. Ive been taking Tavanic for two days and im feeling soreness and pain all over, especially my extremities. I was shocked with what I read with the news regarding this medicine, and now I dont know what to do and this is causing a hassle since it prevents me from doing work and everyday things.

hello “R”,
I was wondering if you’d had any success using the HMB or the PQQ? Thanks, JB

Lisa Bloomquist, on your road to recovery, when you decided that you needed to move your body and begin to physically challenge yourself what instinct or thing told you to begin the process? When you began to move your body, either walking, swimming or exercising did you have a sort of PTSD about doing so? What did you do to push past that or defeat that? You obviously had some mental aspect of this that you pushed yourself at some point.
Once you began your journey physically did you ever relapse and get worse? Was it a physical or mental relapse if any?
I went through my texts, emails, etc. and I saw that I didn’t take any more advil for 10 days after injuring my knee. I just did some stretching and went to a physiotherapy session – was making slow, but steady progress. I even told someone that I felt I would recover sooner than I initially thought. Then someone talked me into taking advil because they said I would heal quicker. So close. 1-2 more weeks and I think I would’ve been ok. I also had just bought a bottle of tylenol and advil (advil was on sale) 1 week earlier. If only I took the tylenol instead of advil, or quit running when my knee got sore. I’d probably be running again by now. Thinking about these things drives me nuts.

Hi Everyone, I’m wondering if anyone has tried HOMEOCIPRO and can share their experience. I was floxed right at a year ago and have had periods where i thought i was nearly recovered only to have more problems crop up. During the last year or so, it seem every few months or so, someone will mention how they’ve heard of this “cipro toxicity remedy” and yet, no one has ever been able to tell me if it worked or not. I remember a couple people saying early on that they’d tried it and it did nothing for them. Now it has come up again and I thought I’d reach out here and see if anyone had an experience they could relate, or if they know of someone who had taken it and can relate their experience. In my year I have spent thousands on alternative therapies and supplements and have my few things that I feel help me, but one thing I’m clear on other than the dangers of big pharma medicines, and that is there are plenty of “doctors” and even “naturapaths” who are willing to charge large amounts and treat you as a guinea pig offering tons of iv treatments or “Special supplements” that “we have specially made for us and you can’t get elsewhere.” –and I don’t have to tell any of you how desperate we can be to undo the damage that has been done to us. So what’s the deal with homeocipro? more psudo-science/scam or can anyone tell me it truly helped them/cured them?

Hi there,
I’m a 24 year old that ended up taking Cipro for ~6 months twice a day for a a super nasty UTI that I am still dealing with. A little back ground, I have had 3 brains surgeries while in college, and developed a nasty UTI/prostate infection from my treatments (i hate catheters). You would think menegintis + hydrocephalus was enough hell for me, but I guess Cipro is just the icing on the cake. I started taking Cipro to treat the infection 500 mg twice daily. Super powerful antibiotics literally saved my life 3 times, and I had placed far too much faith in them.
I was fine for a long time during treatment, but I would get incredibly sore muscles for little reason (especially in my legs). I was starting a new job, and assumed that this was just due to not working out enough. Then, after the UTI flared up again about 5 months in and I started taking Cipro again, all of my joints started popping like crazy. I did some research and was scared shitless to find out what cipro really can do to you. I am a gym hound, and took 2 months off from all working out until I felt confident in my ability to work out again. I took magnesium topically, and drank tons of water. I now see a trainer twice a week to supervise
I’m getting better, but my joints/ligaments still hurt like hell. My ankles are sore, my shoulders are easily aggravated and I regularly have to limit my exercises when I start popping. I am greatful that somehow my body took this much toxin without grevious consequences, but really don’t look forward to my future problems with arthritis and joint pain. I drink a good amount of whey protein, and have tried many of the home remedies posted. Magnesium helps, but rest seems to be the best help for me.
Any suggestions for supplements or continual recovery would be greatly appreciated.
It is RIDICULOUS that this is not a LISTED side effect, and that no attention is paid to this terrible drug. What makes it worse is that I took the generic, which means (from my understanding) that I have no rights to a lawsuit.

Just need some support today! I have gone a month without my neck flaring up. Now it is so inflammed it is hitting a nerve and making me nauseous with a horrible headache! Anyone else ever experience this? I had previous neck problems which Levaquin flared up again. I am also lifting my toddler all the time. Of course this adds to my anxiety that something is wrong in my brain. 😉 How long did some of your anxiety last until it started calming down? I am 5 months out. THanks!

Hi jb!!! Thanks sooo much! I have heard a lot of people say by 6 months their anxiety was improving…so maybe that is the one thing that holds true. I was doing great then it hits me. I will look into those supplements! The headaches are in the back of my head like nerve pain then shoots around my jaw and ear. I took only 2 Levaquin 500mg, but I had 6 pills of 250mg Cipro about a month before that. Still not too much. My body feels great most of the time now! I flare around that time of the month now and that’s the biggest pain time. My shoulders and hips get inflammed. Mostly on my bursa of my hips. It is actually doing good at the moment. My shoulders are a lot better. They are still weak (did physiotherapy for a while and still do the exercises when my neck starts like it is now). Just doesn’t help I have to lift my sweet boy all the time, but I wouldn’t change that for the world! Thanks for reaching out! HOw do you feel now? I sure hope you see improvement. 🙂

Cd- Thank you! i will do that! Great advice! Hope this 79 year old healed and can enjoy their life also! Hope you feel better soon. 🙂
Dear All- I am a 64 year old thin, active man w/ generally very good health and very good dietary habits. I take no medicines and rely on dietary intake for my vitamins. Four days ago my internist said I might have a prostate infection (warm discomfort & dull pain but pee just but my urine was clear. In the mean time he tells me to take 500mg of Levaquin to “knock it out” yet he does not know what specific infectious agent if any he is dealing with. I am very scared to take any form of quinolones and scheduled a visit to the local medical school (UTSW Dallas) urology dept. in a week to check it out.
I did ttake Cipro 15 months ago for a diverticular infection at 500mg daily for two weeks. Felt horrid but did not really see most of the complications I am now keenly aware of. I was uneducated, dumb bliss.
My question (and I know the answer!) Should I NOT take the Levaquin until I get more feedback from the med school doc’s & should I insist on another class on antibiotics should there be a need to take one. I am worried my condition might worsen in the next few days but scared to death to take Levaquin THanks All Mark

Fibromyalgia is so common a misdiagnosis in us that we know it instead as CIPROmyalgia ( basically it is a FQ induced fibromyalgia ), the drugs that are sometimes prescribed for fibromyalgia IMO I would try to avoid as this can often do us no good whatsoever.
The invisible illnesses are heavily implicated as induced by the fluoroquinolone antibiotics, & are instead often FQ toxicity. I myself have been floxed 6 times over 25 years, & was misdiagnosed many years ago with M.E, just to be different.

impossible adversity, what supplements do you now take? i found i could not take anything for a few months after my floxing. many supplements triggered reactions. after about 3 months i could take the basic ones most people take here, mag, vit c, vitamin b, and that’s about it. im afraid to try others since i had bad experience the first time. i was very athletic before but now i’m barely mobile at 6 months out. what is your supplement regimine? did you take cipro, lev, or avelox? and for hold long? thank you.
Has anyone had any abdominal pain? If so how did you cure it or decrease the pain?
