Praise God Josie! Wonderful news.
All of would probably agree that you may not want to go full throttle with impaction/ exercises….The injury manifest slowly over several months. Which is completely the opposite of what any of us would have thought possible…..This is only meant to be advance notice and caution so that you understand what is going on if you experience it.
The weakness you are feeling has t do with the injury from Cipro on a cellular level. Meaning that the energy within the cell is low because it is dealing with massive amounts of “oxidative” stress. Vitamin C would be very good for you. You can take buffered Vitamin C up to 6000 mg. Spread out throughout the day.

Lisa,
I have been wanting to contact you and thank you for your posts about cipro toxicity. Without those posts I don’t know what I would have done. I was floxed by Cipro at the beginning of February for a suspected UTI, and I had taken it twice before and was fine. This time however,it hit me with a horrible reaction in the middle of the night with stomach cramps, muscle zaps, headache, and many other symptoms….I thought I was dying. Went to ER few days later when I had numbness in my face and arm. They tested me for a stroke, did MRIs, CT scans, etc, and all came back good, thank God. I was so desperate to find out what was wrong with me I googled and made many doctor visits, which was so not like me. I am 41 years old and did not have a primary care doctor until this happened. I saw many scary things on google I thought I may have, but when I found your site it was like you were speaking to me. I showed my husband the site, and he actually believed that this was what I had. It felt so good to know I wasn’t alone. It is now 5 months later, and I am improving alot! I only have some burning pain in legs and spine, but that is so much better than in the beginning when I was having pain and panic attacks (which I never had before), nightmares, and couldn’t sleep or do anything well. I just wanted to tell you thank you, for giving me hope when I so desperately needed it. I believe in prayer and I believe that God brought me to your site. I appreciate all you do for those of us desperately looking for answers and scared to death of what happened to us. Thank you again for your hard work for all of us out there affected by these horrible drugs! Karen Haines

Dear Deb, Bravo to you! I have the greatest respect for you, knowing that during the midst of your health crisis you researched and educated yourself instead of relying on what the “experts” were selling. I can only imagine what that was like, navigating your symptoms while learning, and discovering the truth for yourself. It is so disappointing how crooked everything is….But now we know….and so we do the work and educate ourselves and keep our hands on the wheel…and drive the car.
My own similar story was 16 years ago I was quite ill, and without diagnosis though many lab test…I began my research into all things pertaining to holistic health and after a gazillion hours, months, years, of studying viruses and bacterial infections zeroed in on Gulf War illness, & Lyme. Researched both extensively and utilized a specialty lab and bingo Lyme disease. Long story short, the same disbelief and rejection from medical experts, & sometimes family about my condition was really mind boggling and lonely. Cipro same deal. I was offered Pysch drugs, and hugs from bozo md’s who thought that was showing compassion?
Over time, I became quite proficient in taking care of myself and finding people who helped me through with holistic modalities. I led mostly a normal life until the (3) Cipro tablets. But by then, I had a developed such a strong foundation of my faith in God and how beautifully we are designed…that I became a warrior for my life. Really is such a marvel..that regardless of the medical community that had nothing to offer but more harmful drugs that would complicate things and worsen my condition…. I got busy with getting well and forgave everybody for not being able to help…and researched till i felt I had enough understanding to embrace the idea that I had absolutely had a chance of recovery. 2 years I was in a wheelchair, and knee pads (for the floor- to drag groceries through the building) and all the rest that people experience from “fluoroquinolones”…..Now I stand and walk, and am nimble on my feet but cannot run. It took about 3.5 years.
Let me just say, that I am just so very very happy that you made it through all of that and you followed your God given ability to seek out the truth, about the whole world of psychiatry and psych drugs…..Tom Cruise spoke out about it and was scorned for doing so. Confusing to me, because his message was very clear. Street drugs are safer which is very telling.

Josie, I needed crutches the first week because my foot began flopping, and I was very alarmed that I might injure myself, tear or rupture a tendon. The wheel chair came 3 months later I I believe….I was exhausted from trying to do get around with crutches..the 7th month new issues started with my arms becoming very painful. I also needed to be out and about so I could keep my spirits up. Living alone was not easy, and then 1.5 years later I moved in with family. The wheelchair gave me some independence and speed which was a great lift to my spirits and sense of freedom.

Josie,
No to muscle relaxers: Why because they do not “just” effect the muscles…they are toxic and the toxic burden is so heavy in your body….hence all the pain. You want to utilize things that will cause no harm.
You might want to get some ARNICA cream at the health food store. It is excellent for bruising, sports, injuries, post surgery swelling. It costs about $8.00…..been around for 100 years. Apply to muscles that hurt….you do not have to put in on heavily…but it is applied frequently….2-3x’s per day or more. It is made from the plant Arnica which has medicinal properties. But is not made into a synthetic form by pharmaceutical companies. Therefore the danger & risk of worsening is nil.
A Negative ANA test is a very good thing. Why? Because it stands for Anti Nuclear Antibodies……when positive & elevated high that is an indication of a Auto Immune Response….which is not good. This can be “positive” if there is an existing flu or infection, but if the number is also elevated it means that the body is responding to itself as if it was a foreign body and attacks itself……I did have a positive ANA that was very high…But it did after several months it did reverse back to normal. Again an indication of how the body is designed to protect itself and heal
.
The tension and burning you feel may also be peripheral neuropathy… the Epsom Salt bath…..I know it is annoying to repetitively suggest this over & over…but I remember how my early days, I sometimes procrastinated because somehow I thought there might be something else other than me getting my but in and out of the tub…. So the convenient option is Trans Dermal (Ancient Minerals) Magnesium Spray bought on line & Arnica useful too sometimes.

Josie it will get better if you do the things rene is suggesting. I took magnesium oil everywhere I went. Church everytime I hurt I was spraying. I went through depression couldnt type couldnt walk now I have dehydration cant drink plan water as it make me feel dehydrated so I do alkaline. I was better but relapsed and I take magnesuim bath as well. It will get better trust us. We all been through it all. I had this pressure in my head all the test came back normally I ended up putting olive oil on my back which made my shoulder and pain go away. The church member also put olive oil on my feet and hands and I got better. Hang in there it is rough and I have cried so much and prayed the light to the end of my tunnel is approaching just dealing with stomach issues. I have had poor blurry vision and feels like dirt is in my eyes the alpha lipioc acide helped with that also with my shoulder. I remember I had a colonoscopy cleaned me out with magnesuim citrate after I did that I felt so much better. The only problem I did not want to continue to have diarehha. I also use my son’s calm powder(Magnesium citrate) when taking the citrate make sure you drink plenty of water because it is dehydrating. My problem. I am getting over that with alkaline drops. Keep your head up. I know easily said than done. I feel like a baby sometimes wanting my mom from crying so much.
WOW just what I was looking for. Came here by searching for detox for weight loss

been there. When I have acid reflux I take baking soda and lemon juice there seems to be a inbalance between your potassium and sodium in your stomach. Anytime I have the pain/inflammation i reach for baking soda it seems to calm it supplementing with potassium drops in the am. also if you have burning pain thats the acid in your system from your food. Drink some baking soda. Lemon juice is ok because it should alkaline your body. Mastic gum seems to work well but I only take two a day out the capsule it doesnt seem to make me burn…. DGL is a no no it cause you to have leg pain although they say they took out the “G” for you to keep potassium. I try to stop my acid before it get too far up to my chest. It is horrible. “Slippery Elm Bark” good for your throat and intestines. I cant believe how bad all of this is but we will get through it some how.
I don’t eat past 6 pm baking soda and lemon juice it’s neutral like a science experiment
At night your ph is lower why you feel horrible. I also take the baking soda and lemon juice before bed to help with detoxing
Hcl is a no no you have a imbalance you don’t need acid.
I am not sure which type of Prevacid you have I had the kind with sodium bocarbonate
But with baking soda and lemon juice you are covering sodium and potassium you can add some sea salt and a spoon full of honey as this is a electrolyte drink you are creating to help your stomach heal. Slippery elm bark heal the esphohagus and stomach lining mastic gum same… Like I said dgl might not cause you the same symptoms but it your shin hurts you know why.
Hcl… Hydrochloric acid in your stomach you don’t need that it’s an imbalance
Anybody have ideas on relieving fatigue.

Has anyone used Lunesta or Zolpiclone (its European equivalent) for sleep. I was prescribed some, and slept well for the first time in ages last night, but have woken with some muscle aches. Has anyone else experienced similar?

Good day all,
Does anyone have a recommendation for reducing heart palpitations (extra/skipped beats)? I’m really having a rash of them right now and need some relief (definently not helping with the anxiety at this point).
Thank you,

I had to use suncream yesterday, and today all my floxing symptoms are much worse. I don’t know if the suncream has caused it. Has anyone else had this?
I thought that was weird with the hand where my right hand hurt more that was dominant then I switch to my left then I starting having problems with that one I remember saying to my husband is this what it feels like when I get older 🙁 I was cracking all over it was horrible a woman at the bank shook my hand and she cracked my fingers I felt so fragile. I was afraid to walk without the uncertainty of breaking something after all the doctor visits they never found anything wrong thank goodness.
I don’t think I’ve read one quinolone survivor story in which these types of CNS issues–inability to filter/overstimulation of lights, sounds, etc.–were fully recovered from. I also feel emotionally detached and from reading the descriptions, it sounds like autism. There’s no cure for autism. Every brain/nerve support supplement I’ve tried makes my anxiety exponentially worse. So I’m all out of hope. Has anyone recovered from these specific filtering-type CNS problems?
i just want to say that today i feel awesome! I can walk perfectly fine and i have no pain any where but besides my back which is from scoliosis!!
