Anything to help my teeth? Enamel is breaking off all over the place. Dentist refuses not use that scrubbing machine and fluoride, and says I need a mouth guard because it’s due to grinding (on the front, think not!).

Thank you everyone for all the valuable information. I ask all these questions so that I can be better informed. I’ve never been a fan of taking any medications but now I’m completely terrified! 🙁

Hi Tricia, how are the shoe inserts working for you? Yeah I know what you mean by not trusting doctors. I really loved my primary doctor until this all happened. You know the funny thing is, I was hoping they would find something wrong with me in those blood tests…I feel like it would’ve been better than this. I too have some pain in my molar teeth off and on. And I’ve always had good teeth. I hope you’re feeling better overall. Any slight improvement is one step toward the right direction right? 🙂
Many of you keep talking about “healing your gut” – I don’t know why you talk about the “gut”, without specifying which part of the digestive system you mean, nor how you know it’s leaking. Are you sure? I see there are lots of Pubmed articles about it – seems very common nowadays, que sorpresa.
I can’t make WordPress send me comments, stupid thing.

I was wondering if anyone just suffered anxiety from cipro. It’s been over a month and I have anxiety now every week. I tried IV Ozone therapy yesterday and I had the worst anxiety from that. I may end up trying the Homeocipro and wanted to see if anyone else has had bad anxiety and how long it lasted?

Has anyone have acupuncture? I seem to be having a negative effect post acupuncture. It was actually an electro-acupuncture. The areas where the needle was placed have been tingly/pins and needles post acupuncture session. it’s been about a week and hoping this will lessen and eventually stop.

Lisa, were your treatments for physical pain? I may consider another acupuncturist in the future but right now I’m afraid to. I have friends who have benefited tremendously from acupuncture for general shoulder pain etc. But you’re right in that it may not be for everyone.

Hi, I have also had problems with my teeth since being floxed, more little cavities and sensitivity. I can’t have local anesthetic anymore it makes me too sick major migraines and nerve pain flare ups from it so last one I had filled with no anesthesia, not fun and have to have a couple more small ones filled. I do not let my dentist use any fluoride and they only use pumice no toothpaste. Anyone have any ideas about what to do about dental work. I’m going to try oil pulling. I do wear a night guard now but didn’t for a long time.

More of the pins and needles feelings. Especially on the areas where the acupuncture needles were put. For a couple of days my right inner ankle felt like I had sprained it. I was so scared but that went away and now it tingles a lot. Places where he put the needles like around my knees and elbows are tingly and short electric shock like pains come and go. I only used to get pain in my inner knees and inner elbows but now it’s the whole knee area and whole elbow area. Both my ankles tingle and ache more. Pain I used to get in the beginning on my back, upper shoulder, collar bone, and tricep area are back. I remember telling my husband the morning I started my 2nd round of prednisone that I was feeling pretty good overall with minimal pain. On the 3rd day of this 2nd round I felt pain in my right foot/ankle and it had been pretty minimal up to that point…I wanted to stop the meds but my father insisted that I stay on course because it was too soon to tell if the prednisone was working or not. My father is a long time user of prednisone because of his asthma. And night time is always the absolute worse part of the day. Sorry for yet another rant…
Took 5 days worth of avelox. Currently a week after. Having dizziness and blurred vision continuously. Will this go away on its own ? Or do I need further help ?

Melanie, did you also have sharp bursts of stinging/burning sensations throughout your body? That’s the best I can describe them. I rub/massage the area when it happens to alleviate the pain.
I too have had many emotional crisis (way worse than ones I’m getting now) the first month about wanting to die but I then I thought about my 4 kids not having a mom in their lives and my parents having to outlive their child…Lots of tears were shed for sure…anytime anywhere.
I’m so very happy for you that you’ve made it through the first time and this second time around you’re starting to see improvement as well. 🙂
I will start a journal. Thank you.

I was floxed 3 months ago after a long time on cipro and 1 week on levoquin. I am now at my lowest.
I am trying to take the right supplements but am frustrated by what seems the most important one magnisium. For some reason it makes me feel worse I take chelated which is what I have taken for years pre flox. And it always worked we’ll for me. Can this flocking somehow make it now cause my syttoms worse????

Has anyone heard this? Before I was floxed for four years I had bad tmj. In 2009 had mri and it was determined it was all mucular. Did pt for 2 months then I read online magnisium can help. It was like a Miracle! Went all away and so did my anxiety that I never had to that degree before. I slowly had to take more and more. Then summer 2013 had braces and really helped it but still would get tight sometes. Now since this nightmare floxing my tmj is pain free…. Everything else killing me but the tmj’ which I thought was the worst ever, I laugh at it now with this floxing, thAt was nothing compared to this and the tmj is non existant!…..
SM – I wish that I could say what the future holds for any of us. I don’t know though. I do know that I am going to be more conscientious about my health than I would have been had I never gotten sick. I will be more wary of environmental toxins and pharmaceuticals. I intend to avoid pharmaceuticals, if at all possible, for the rest of my life. I will use my (decently reasonable) judgement to decide whether or not that is possible. If I need a surgery, I’ll get one though. And I will use anesthesia because not using it isn’t a viable option. I hope that I won’t need surgeries. I certainly won’t have one that is elective. I won’t take drugs unless I absolutely need them either. I do know that I may need drugs at some point. Antibiotics saved my aunt’s life when she had cellulitis and my dad’s life was saved by chemo when he had cancer. I know that they can do good. I will not take them without thinking long and hard about it though.
Other than my perspective shifts – I no longer think that the world is as safe as I used to and I no longer take pharmaceuticals or trust doctors – I largely live how I did before I got floxed. I eat regular foods. I try to stick with organic meats but I’m not 100% with it.
I think that kicking the fear about what the future will hold is one of the hardest things to do after getting floxed. I try to do it though. I try to concentrate on today rather than worrying about the future. I meditate. It helps with concentrating on the moment. Banishing worry about the future is easier said than done, but it’s something that is worth striving for. Because living in a dystopian future will make you miserable.
