GRRRRR. So, I am cleaning out a cabinet, and come across the Milk Of Magnesia, which was my first attempt at healing after I got floxed (it was recommended by one of the first doctors to discuss flq toxicity). Well, I didn’t notice at the time—it’s made by BAYER! I hate that I gave one more penny to those criminals.
I just got back from the beach, i went to my brother´s house and invited him to with with me and he said yes, cool!
So we went, the beach is about 20 minutes from his house, i usually go to an area just before we get to the open sea, it is surrounded by hill and mangroves, there is an oyster farm right there. i like the area cause it´s nice and shallow and calm.
We hit the jackpot!
The previous time i went there, my friend had found a way to dig up clams, i said how do you do it?
he said just feel your way around the sand, if you feel something hard, start digging and most likely it´s a clam.
My brother was really good at, he managed to dig up about ten pounds of clams, most of them are baby clams.
So i said great! when i get home i´m going to make clam chowder, that´s what i´m doing right now. i put the clams in a boiler first for them to open up, they are cooling down right now. As soon as they cool down i will take the meat out from the shells.
I figure i´ll get about half a pound of clam meat, which is a lot considering they are fresh from the sea.
One of the things i like about clams is that of all seafoods they are the ones that contain the most b12.
And they taste great, i didn´t even bother washing them, i just put them straight into the boiler to maintain that deep sea flavor.
I´m in seafood heaven right now!

I´m in the northwest, i have the gulf of cortez in front of me. the weather today was perfect! We were in the water for about an hour just relaxing and talking, i hadn’t seen my brother in months, i have four brothers but he is the one that i get along with the best. He is a really funny guy and very smart too.
He took me to a smoothie shop first were a lady makes smoothies with herbalife products, we drank some tea first and we took a smoothie each with us, i had a piña colada smoothie, it was great, it didn’t have a lot of sugar, i assume it had stevia.
Then we went to the beach it was about 11 o clock when we got there, the sun was warm but not hot and the water was perfect!
It´s a very shallow area with hills and mangroves all around, there is an oyster farm right there. After we went swimming we went to the beachfront where a man sells oysters, he sells them for a dollar each, he opens them up and we ate five each with lemon and chili sauce,
The oysters were awesome!
We got back into town at about 2 o clock, i went home and started cooking the clams.
It was a great day, i had not been able to go out for the last two months since i was bedridden, it really made me appreciate the natural things we have around us, it had been raining a lot this summer and the hills at the beach were nice and green, i really love nature and swimming there was a great treat!

I am two months out and still worry that something else on my body will break or fall apart. Fear is also an enemy.

Exactly! It’s like running a race, knowing that the finish line was straight ahead. The race could be a mile or a marathon but, at least there is a finish line. With this it’s like a hamster on a wheel.

Yes Tricia my area is very beautiful, but not everything is perfect. In the summer the weather is 110 from july to september, so you can´t really go outside during the day, we spend most of the day indoors in the ac. I really like the midwest though it looks so beautiful in pictures. I imagine Dorothy in Kansas at the beginning of the movie, that scene is so beautiful to me, I don´t like big cities, personally i like wide open spaces especially the desert, i love desert areas. They seem so peaceful to me.
My adverse reaction was a grade two, which is in the middle. I had all of the classic symptoms, I also developed a severe food phobia. After realizing i couldn’t eat normal foods, i basically narrowed it down to lentil soup with garlic, avocado, white corn tortillas handmade with purified water and magnesium chloride, organic eggs once in a while, and different teas for sleeping.
Magnesium was very important for me and i believe it helped me the most. I was also afraid that i would have tendon rupture so i made sure that when i was walking i did it slowly especially when climbing stairs.
Tendon rupture actually is very rare, but i always stayed on the safe side and took it real easy. Not that i had to try much since my energy level was practically zero. I remember after climbing a floor of stairs i would reach the second floor completely exhausted!
But like i mentioned the first three months are the most difficult, after the first three months i was pretty much used to my program and i noticed that i recovered between 3 to 5 percent each month.
When your whole focus is on your health 100%, you become an expert at every little move you make. The good thing is that our bodies have an excellent ability to recover, all we have to do is give them the right things and avoid toxic foods, toxic people and toxic entertainment.
Our psychology is the most important aspect in our healing, it determines for the most part if what we eat will be used correctly by our bodies. Our bodies are electric and our thoughts determine the voltage, force and power or our electricity.
If our mental environment is 100% positive it has an amazing effect on the electric potential in our cellular environment.
That is one reason i am here to give you support, because when i was down i realized it was very important for me and i didn´t have it.
I also realize what a great challenge it is to be floxed cause i went through it, if a person has not been floxed it´s best to not even talk to them about it because their comments and attitudes sometimes causes us more grief.
But we have each other in our online groups.
I remember when i got floxed there was a quin forum, it was really good. But the owner had been severely floxed and eventually could not keep the forum going and it came down. But even in the forum there were people attacking us and trying to discredit us, which was a really bad thing for them, because their karma will come back to haunt them!

Here’s a question for all you experts 🙂 I am well aware that Cipro floats a whole bunch of magnesium out of our bodies which is what causes tendon issues. My question is, why are only certain tendons affected? For example, three months out the ongoing discomfort I have is in my left achilles tendon only. Why would it only be this one and not the rest of the tendons in my body?

Milk of magnesia (magnesium hydroxide) interferes with the absorption of folic acid and iron-wiki.
That right there is a red flag.
Personally my bet is on magnesium chloride in liquid form, i used it in my foods and still do. I also take magnesium citrate but i found i could not metabolize it when i got floxed, my kidneys would get uncomfortable.
My kidneys began to normalize at about the year.
The thing about the first 12 months is that our liver and kidneys are severely damaged and can not process large substances, vitamins and minerals need to be in their smallest form, colloidal, ionic, etc.
Magnesium plays a big role in enzyme production, enzymes are the movers and shakers in the body. Vitamins and minerals are building blocks.
Foot tendons are affected disproportionately because of the weight load, as far as left and right is concerned i believe it has to do with posture. We don´t realize it but sometimes we put more weight on one side than the other.

Magnesium also plays a role in your body’s detoxification processes and therefore is important for helping to prevent damage from environmental chemicals, heavy metals and other toxins. Even glutathione, your body’s most powerful antioxidant that has even been called “the master antioxidant,” requires magnesium for its synthesis.mercola.

Magnesium glycinate is a chelated form of magnesium that tends to provide the highest levels of absorption and bioavailability and is typically considered ideal for those who are trying to correct a deficiency.
Magnesium oxide is a non-chelated type of magnesium, bound to an organic acid or a fatty acid. Contains 60 percent magnesium, and has stool softening properties.
Magnesium chloride / Magnesium lactate contain only 12 percent magnesium, but has better absorption than others, such as magnesium oxide, which contains five times more magnesium.
Magnesium sulfate / Magnesium hydroxide (milk of magnesia) are typically used as a laxative. Be aware that it’s easy to overdose on these, so ONLY take as directed
Magnesium carbonate, which has antacid properties, contains 45 percent magnesium.
Magnesium taurate contains a combination of magnesium and taurine, an amino acid. Together, they tend to provide a calming effect on your body and mind.
Magnesium citrate is magnesium with citric acid, which has laxative properties.
Magnesium threonate is a newer, emerging type of magnesium supplement that appears promising, primarily due to its superior ability to penetrate the mitochondrial membrane, and may be the best magnesium supplement on the market-mercola.

Balance Your Magnesium with Calcium, Vitamin K2 and D
One of the major benefits of getting your nutrients from a varied whole food diet is that you’re far less likely to end up with too much of one nutrient at the expense of others. Foods in general contain all the cofactors and needed co-nutrients in the proper amounts for optimal health, which takes out the guess work. When you’re using supplements, you need to become a bit more savvy about how nutrients influence and synergistically affect each other.
For example, it’s important to maintain the proper balance between magnesium, calcium, vitamin K2, and vitamin D. Lack of balance between these nutrients is why calcium supplements have become associated with increased risk of heart attacks and stroke, and why some people experience vitamin D toxicity.
Part of the explanation for these adverse side effects is that vitamin K2 keeps calcium in its appropriate place. If you’re K2 deficient, added calcium can cause more problems than it solves, by accumulating in the wrong places. Similarly, if you opt for oral vitamin D, you need to also consume it in your food or take supplemental vitamin K2. Taking mega doses of vitamin D supplements without sufficient amounts of K2 can lead to vitamin D toxicity symptoms, which includes inappropriate calcification.
While the ideal or optimal ratios between vitamin D and vitamin K2 have yet to be elucidated, Dr. Kate Rheaume-Bleue (whom I’ve interviewed on this topic) suggests that for every 1,000 IU’s of vitamin D you take, you may benefit from about 100 micrograms of K2, and perhaps as much as 150-200 micrograms (mcg). The latest vitamin D dosing recommendations, which call for about 8,000 IU’s of vitamin D3 per day if you’re an adult, means you’d need in the neighborhood of 800 to 1,000 micrograms (0.8 to 1 milligram/mg) of vitamin K2.mercola.
